The basic idea of the “Inclusive Tennis” project was an inclusive cooperation within the framework of sports activities. On 30 October 2015, this idea was implemented in cooperation with the fourth grade of the NMS Kindberg and Lebenshilfe Kindberg. In this programme, it was important to us that fear of contact between young people and people with disabilities should be broken down and that sport as a leisure activity should be brought closer to them. The project was structured in such a way that the participants were divided into teams and had to master courses and games together. The focus was always on joint exercises that are fun. Particularly noteworthy is the station in which the school children were able to try out for themselves what it feels like to sit in a wheelchair and thus cope with everyday life or sporting challenges. In retrospect, it was a successful and accomplished day for the young people, the residents of Lebenshilfe and the entire team. The project was presented at a press conference on 6 November 2015 at the Youth Health Conference together with state councilman Drexler.
